The only difference now is the screen size, which makes sense given the phone’s smaller nature. Mas, com o Xperia XZ2 Compact, a Sony tenta mostrar que aparelhos com essas características ainda fazem sentido. O modelo tem quase todas as especificações do Xperia XZ2 “normal”, incluindo processador Snapdragon 845, 64 GB de espaço interno para dados e câmera traseira de 19 megapixels. Eu testei o Xperia XZ2 Compact por duas semanas e conto as minhas impressões a partir de agora. Em vídeo  Design Para quem já não aguentava mais o estilo “HD externo” da linha Xperia, um alívio na família XZ2, a Sony abandonou o tradicional design Omnibalance. Agora, há um pouco mais de curvaturas na traseira. Já as laterais, de metal, seguem um padrão arredondado que ajuda muito na pegada. Mas a gente encontra algumas diferenças notáveis entre os modelos da linha. Para começar, o Xperia XZ2 tem traseira de vidro. No Compact, o componente é de plástico fosco. Não é um material que desagrada pelo menos não a mim, mas, por ser menos chamativo, pode dar impressão de que o aparelho tem acabamento pouco robusto, o que não é verdade. No primeiro contato com o modelo, o Xperia XZ2 Compact me lembrou o design dos antigos Lumias, ainda que ligeiramente. Logo eu percebi o porquê apesar de ser mesmo compacto, o dispositivo tem espessura de 12,1 mm, ou seja, ele é “gordinho”. Para diminuir essa impressão e, presumivelmente, facilitar a pegada, a Sony fez o XZ2 Compact ser mais curvado perto das bordas, macete que também era usado pela Nokia / Microsoft. Talvez você discorde, mas eu não vejo problemas nisso. Confesso que, durante algum tempo, eu defendia a ideia de que um smartphone tinha que ser tão fino quanto possível, mas já não penso assim. Na verdade, a espessura ajuda o XZ2 Compact a encaixar bem nas mãos. Pode ter certeza de que ele não vai escapar dos seus dedos facilmente. O único inconveniente que eu tive com o Xperia XZ2 Compact durou apenas dois ou três dias frequentemente eu acertava a câmera traseira tentando tocar no leitor de impressões digitais, que fica mais abaixo e não na lateral direita, como vinha sendo feito na linha Xperia. A razão disso é que, como o smartphone é pequeno, eu tinha que dobrar o dedo indicador para alcançá-lo, coisa que não me ocorre com celulares maiores. Mera questão de costume. A Sony manteve a tradição de colocar todos os botões físicos na lateral direita, incluindo um para acionamento ou disparo da câmera. No outro lado está a gaveta para um único SIM card e o microSD de até 400 GB. Já a parte inferior abriga só a porta USB-C. Não há conexão de 3,5 mm para fones de ouvido, razão pela qual o modelo é acompanhado por um adaptador. Tela Temos aqui 5 polegadas em um painel IPS LCD com resolução de 2160×1080 pixels e proporção 189. Para as dimensões do Xperia XZ2 Compact, a tela até poderia ser menor, mas a Sony fez um trabalho relativamente bom de aproveitamento do espaço frontal. Compatível com HDR, a tela exibe cores vibrantes, mas sem abusar da saturação. O nível de contraste é muito bom para um painel LCD. É claro que você vai notar alguma perda de tonalidade quando observar a tela de ângulos variados, mas, no Xperia XZ2 Compact, esse efeito é discreto. O brilho máximo é bem forte, garantindo visualização satisfatória da tela mesmo em ambientes com bastante luminosidade. O brilho automático funciona bem, apesar de demorar um pouco para fazer o ajuste. Durante as primeiras horas de uso, estranhei um pouco o tamanho dos ícones, afinal, estou acostumado com telas grandes. Mas, passada a estranheza inicial, a experiência de uso foi bastante positiva. O fato de conseguir acessar qualquer ponto da tela usando apenas uma mão também soma pontos — é um detalhe importante para quem costuma ficar em pé no transporte público, por exemplo. É verdade que, se você quiser jogar ou assistir a vídeos, uma tela maior — como a do Xperia XA2 Ultra — vai ser muito mais interessante. O tamanho é importante quando a prioridade é consumo de conteúdo. Mas nem de longe isso quer dizer que essas tarefas são desagradáveis no XZ2 Compact. Software Se você tem ou já brincou com um Xperia recente, não vai notar diferenças significativas no software. O XZ2 Compact vem com o Android Oreo e aquela interface da Sony que traz menus reorganizados e efeitos de transição bem suaves. A lista de aplicativos próprios da companhia é suficiente para as tarefas mais comuns. Os clássicos players de música e vídeo estão aqui, por exemplo. O mesmo vale pra o álbum de fotos e o gerenciador de arquivos. Sobra alguma perfumaria, incluindo o Movie Creator para geração automática de vídeos e o Criador de 3D gera representações tridimensionais de rostos e objetos. Os aplicativos de terceiros incomodam um pouco. O AVG Protection, por exemplo, só está ali para tentar te convencer a comprar uma licença do antivírus. Pelo menos os bloatwares não são numerosos. Se parte dos apps são questionáveis, pelo menos os recursos que a Sony integra ao sistema operacional são interessantes. Só para dar alguns exemplos, nas configurações é possível ajustar vários parâmetros do áudio e encontrar o Xperia Assist, que dá acesso ao clássico Modo Stamina economia de energia, às opções de ações para, entre outras possibilidades, configurar notificações à noite e a uma ferramenta de limpeza de memória não me parece muito útil, mas está lá. Câmeras A moda da câmera dupla na traseira não chegou ao Xperia XZ2 Compact. Mas tudo bem, mesmo. Complementado com uma lente de abertura f/2,0 e foco auxiliado por laser, o sensor de 19 megapixels na parte de traz do aparelho dá conta do recado. Não é a melhor câmera que a gente vai encontrar em um high-end, mas o avanço em relação a Xperias anteriores é perceptível. No Xperia XZ1, por exemplo, dava para notar ruídos com relativa facilidade e um pós-processamento exagerado, que acabava removendo detalhes das imagens. No Xperia XZ2 Compact esses problemas são muito mais discretos. Você só vai notá-los se prestar bastante atenção. Além disso, as cores são mais vívidas. Às vezes dá para notar algum excesso na saturação, assim como pontos mais escuros do que deveriam, mas não é nada que preocupe. Em condições de iluminação reduzida ou muito baixa, ruídos e perda de definição ganham força, mas não tanto de modo geral, o pós-processamento consegue fazer um bom trabalho de nivelamento aqui. Talvez não seja um detalhe muito relevante, mas foi uma grata surpresa perceber que as fotos feitas no modo automático não diferem muito daquelas registradas em manual com o HDR ativado. No Xperia XA2 Ultra, por exemplo, a diferença entre esses dois modos é gritante. Esse é um sinal de que o Xz2 Compact consegue aplicar o HDR automaticamente. Apesar de ser um aparelho robusto e com desempenho excelente, a característica que mais o destaca é a que o condena de modo geral, o tamanho reduzido é associado a aparelhos ultrapassados ou fracos, por assim dizer. Isso deixa o dispositivo praticamente isolado em sua categoria. A predileção por telas grandes é um caminho sem volta, pelo jeito, mas pode ter certeza de que ainda há gente por aí que considera esses smartphones um tanto desajeitados. É por isso que os compradores do XZ2 Compact serão, predominantemente, aqueles que sabem das dimensões compactas e querem contar com essas características. Se é o seu caso, saiba que, sim, o modelo é tecnicamente muito bom não há queixas sobre o desempenho, a tela tem excelente qualidade de imagem, as câmeras fazem um bom trabalho e o software é estável.
